Vans Announces Fall Update to Design Assembly Collection

‘90s Streetwear-Inspired Apparel and Accessories

Vans returns with a second installment of the Design Assembly collection featuring a new assortment of women’s apparel, accessories and footwear which blends meticulously detailed design with street sensibility. This season, the 13-piece Design Assembly offering re-emerges with a fall update capturing a streetwear-driven aesthetic in a rich color palette coupled with deluxe textural fabrics and thoughtful details across the ensemble.

Building from the oversized, loose silhouettes reminiscent of the past, Vans designers modernized the designs with novelty print detailing by re-imagining a vintage Van Doren Rubber Company logo with the iconic ‘Flying V’ graphic. The capsule collection is streamlined through throwback silhouettes and materials, to be easily worn together or separately. Highlights from the collection include The Chromo Half Zip featuring a long-oversized body structure with a mock neck and the trend-driven Chromo Dress, which updates the traditional T-shirt dress with bell sleeves. Each style finished with a checkerboard grosgrain taping. The leading staple of the collection is the Summit Jacket and Pant set.  The jacket is dressed in a wide wale corduroy material with dropped shoulders and a trucker-style form, while the Summit Pant sits high at the waist and features a cropped trouser cut.
 

The Design Assembly collection is rounded out by backpacks, socks, hats, T-shirts, and hoodies as well as nine footwear options across classic Vans styles. To capture the essence of this throwback-inspired assortment, each footwear silhouette has been covered in matching plush corduroy material in black, bossa nova, sunflower and heliotrope colorways as a true nod to the ‘90s. The Design Assembly Collection will be available to shop online from July 16 in Europe.
